Last year we implemented the Finnish model. When we started to implement the model to our school, we didn’t realize some of the difficulties that we would have to face or the material that we would need to do a good implementation of the MYP.
We realized that the process wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be. We had to talk to a lot of teachers to decide when we could go to their classes to do the prepared activity. We also had to manage the material creation, where to find those materials and how we wanted the needed cards to look like.
Another thing that took us a lot of time was the amount of documents that we had to complete throughout the process.
Even though those facts, the implementation went good, we had a lot of fun implementing the MYP and we got a lot of interesting information and conclusions that helped us and the school to improve the participation in our school.
This year we have reached our goal to manage a small participatory budget with an open participatory process using the CLEAR model.
